A pipeline that edits Reels and hands the designer a CapCut project
Raw footage and a script go in. A rough cut, subtitles and a fully editable CapCut project come out, ready for the designer’s finishing touches.

The problem
Editing short videos is slow and repetitive: syncing audio, picking takes, cutting pauses, adding zooms, B-roll and subtitles. Hours go into the rough cut before a designer can even start on the creative part.
What I built
A pipeline that takes the raw footage and the script and builds the edit on its own: a preview video, subtitles, and a report that explains every cut.
Above all, it produces a native CapCut project where every cut, zoom, B-roll clip and subtitle is a separate, editable layer. Nothing is baked in.
How it works
- 01
Add the footage
Takes from one or more cameras, the external audio, the B-roll and the script.
- 02
Sync and transcribe
The audio is synced across cameras and transcribed locally, with timing for every word.
- 03
Cut and build
The pipeline picks the takes, removes pauses, places zooms and B-roll, and adds subtitles in the brand’s style.
- 04
Check
A preview is rendered and checked automatically, and the cut report explains every choice.
- 05
Hand off
The designer opens the CapCut project and only does the finishing.
What it changes
The rough cut is ready before the designer even opens the file.
Consistent subtitles, pacing and formats across every Reel, and everything stays editable.
Designer hours go into the creative finish, not into cutting and syncing.
